Graduated in Medicine at the University of Brasília.
Residency in Ophthalmology at the Federal University of São Paulo - Escola Paulista de Medicina (UNIFESP-EPM).
Latu-sensu (fellowship) specialization in Retinal and Vitreous diseases at Escola Paulista de Medicina (UNIFESP-EPM). During this period, in addition to the clinical-surgical qualification in general ophthalmology and in the sub-specialty of Retina and Vitreous (activities which he carries out today in private institutions in the city of São Paulo in parallel with an academic activity in the training institution), he developed or participated scientific studies in the same areas.
